Why my fnsku code and asin code are the same?

I created a listing of my first product on Amazon Seller. And I used UPC code that I bought on GS1 website. After creating a listing, I noticed that my ASIN and FNSKU codes are the same. But I always thought that FNSKU code should contain 12 characters. My FNSKU has 10 characters. Is it a problem?

an FNSku is a code generated when you create a shipping plan to send items to FBA.

Perhaps your getting your codes confused

My FNSKUs appear in "Manage Inventory" and they stay always the same. They never change. So it is not generated when creating a shipping plan.

The ASIN and FNSKU are almost always the same If the item can't be commingled with other sellers' skus, then it would get a different FNSKU.
