Creating new ASIN code or use existing

Hello,

I just registered to amazon, and want to list my product, and wanted to ask, did i have to create my own new ASIN code, or i should use an existing ASIN of the same product selling by others?
And if i had to create my own, how can i do it?

Have you gone through the Seller University?

All products that are the same in every way, including brand, should share a listing. Seller University has detailed guides on almost everything related to selling on Amazon.

You do not create ASINs - they are Amazon’s numbers - Amazon Standard Identification Number.
If you are selling the EXACT same item as others then you list on that - you need to use the barcode (UPC/EAN) that is on the item.
This is not like ebay where each item has it’s own listing.
If the item does not have a barcode then you need to buy them from GS1 - these are the only ones Amazon will accept.

As the others have said, before you do anything more - read Seller University - link at bottom of your seller homepage.
