Isle of Wight Shipping Surcharge

Dear All,

We have long been charged £19.65 (excluding VAT) for shipping orders to the following Isle of Wight postcodes: PO30, PO31, PO32, PO33, PO34, PO35, PO36, PO37, PO38, PO39, PO40, and PO41. These addresses are located on the Isle of Wight and not on the UK mainland.

Our standard shipping policy includes up to £10 of shipping costs, which is already factored into our product pricing (we mainly use DPD UK). Any amount exceeding this significantly impacts our margins and is not sustainable in the long term.

We attempted to adjust our shipping settings to reflect the higher cost of delivery to the Isle of Wight. However, we could not find the Isle of Wight listed as a separate region within Amazon’s shipping template options.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Is there a way to configure shipping rates specifically for the Isle of Wight postcodes in Amazon's shipping settings?

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

What are you sending ie ll sp if so swap the iow orders to RM as they are the same throughout the country. If its much bigger stuff then you either have to increase your general shipping fees and potentially lose customers from outside the IOW or just bite the bullet on IOW customers

Hi @Seller_oJaABY0ScDyik

Amazon UK's current shipping template settings don't allow for specific postcode-based shipping rates for the Isle of Wight. It's considered part of mainland UK in Amazon's shipping regions.

However, there are a few potential solutions you might consider:

First, you could update your shipping settings to exclude these postcodes from your standard delivery options. You can do this by going to Settings > Shipping Settings > Shipping Template and adding these postcodes to your shipping exclusions.

Create, edit or delete shipping templates

Alternatively, you could adjust your product prices to account for the higher shipping costs to these areas. While not ideal, some sellers have found this to be a workable solution.

Christine.
