FBA Small and Light - Product label requirements Major confusion
Hi
It is the first time i am using Amazon Small and Light and I have a major confusion for this.
It clearly says all items needs to have individual amazon barcode in help pages but it also says under small and light detail page under “sending inventory to us” that :
" You do not need to label individual units with FBA labels; "
So I am very confused now do i need to individually label the units or I can just put all units in one bag/box and then label that bag with FNSKU and total quantity ?
I have tried amazon customer service they have no clue keep going in circles.
Please i really need help with this because it will take me a lot of effor to label each product with amazon barcodes and i will only do it if it really required. my products have no barcode at all at the moment.
Please note the above is for individual products not for bundled or normal FBA, it is regarding Small and Light FBA only.

Also does anyone know what are the requirements if products require folding once. It says in help pages that for Amazon small and light they will fold the item once for free but are there any special label requirements or settings in sellercentral i need to do ? because otherwise they might think the product is too big and will not fit small and light.

When we started using Small and Light around June of this year we read the same article as you… So we put the items in a clear plastic bag and then used a master label on the outside, I.E QUANTITY = 100 and placed the label that would have been applied if it was FBA on this bag label. However, we had a mix up a month or so later at SNL so we done a shipment to remove. When we did a shipment to remove we found labels had been added to our products at the warehouse… I posted this and people said you now have to label everything and there was an update but I never found the article and nobody posted it…
Personally this is what I would do… LABEL EVERYTHING! Label it… then master bag it with the quantity and another label on the outside…

I agree with conway. While you are not required to place a label on every single unit, it will be much safer and help prevent any potential issues with missing units.
Also, here is a FBA Small & Light help page with some additional information which may help:

Hmmm, I had this exact same question yesterday after successfully enrolling my items.
I will definitely individually label them. However there is another SKU, the poly bag is so tiny (it’s called small and light after all) it would never fit a label. I have 62mm wide labels. If I were to stick them on anyway, it won’t be very neat but if the code is visible but the barcode scrunched up will this suffice?

Thank You everyone for the replies.
I am doing a test run of 500 products WITHOUT sticking individual labels. My products come in pack of 10 so I am just putting a sticker quantity 10 and then FNSKU Label on each bag and sending 50 bags.
Because if this works it will make my life a lot easier as it will cost me a lot to label each item.
So I have selected case packed items, 10 items in each case and then i have put FNSKU label on each bag and a label QTY 10.
I hope this works…
