Item not received yet tracking is showing as delivered
Hi, Please can anyone advise. I sent out an order with royal mail and the tracking is showing as being delivered. The irate customer is saying she hasnt received it and demanding a refund. She is being very rude and horrible in her emails and threatening to report to Amazon if she doesn’t receive her refund. I really do not want to refund her but will Amazon automatically do so on my behalf?

did you buy shipping through amazon? if not did you upload tracking at time of dispatch?

Have you sent a message suggesting she checks with neighbours, safe places etc as you will have to refer the claim to Royal Mail since the tracking shows it was delivered to her address so you’ll have to investigate with RM fraud team?

Sounds like a top-rate scammer.
Most normal people who haven’t received their item would not go off the deep-end straight away .
Remain cool, calm, polite and business-like.
As Sequin says, go through the usual checks with neighbours, safe places, and if too big to fit through letterbox has a card been left to collect from office ?
Say that as RM site is showing it as delivered, which is not possible unless it actually has been as is scanned at point of delivery, it will be referred to their fraud team.
Hopefully that will flush them out if they are trying it on.

this is all getting beyond a joke. there was no card left and also I was at home all day. I cannot be bothered anymore but will contact amazon to register my complaint about all the hassle your company has put me through. I am a pensioner and dont need the extra stress you are causing. I am just relieved my order value was small. thank goodness I haven’t lost a large amount of money. I hope you improve your customer relations in future as your attitude to this missing small order is not acceptable
