ACCOUNT OPEN IS EASY, CLOSE IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Good afternoon everyone,

I would like someone from Amazon to review our case, as since December we have been waiting for the 90 days without sales and without inventory in order to close our activities with Amazon.

Ever since a seller support representative advised us to switch our account from FBA to FBM (so we wouldn’t have to pay the £30 fee), our situation has become extremely difficult.

Account blocked for identity verification – done

Requested documents and information – sent

We then received another rejection asking for repeated information and additional documents that make no sense.

We worked with the same supplier since we open the company (2 years ago).

We sent invoices (with open numbers), bank statment that proves our payment, including AMZ payments to us.

We told Amz that we do our prep ourselves and we dont import or export items.

We changed our Credit card 100x in order to fit all requests (and our C.C are all valid)

WE SIMPLY WANT TO CLOSE OUR ACCOUNT, but it seems that whoever is reviewing our case is NOT reading it.

Please help us.

It seems that your account is not fully verified. Amazon will only allow a fully verified account to be closed, for reasons best known to themselves.

Firstly, the advice you were given was not correct or you misunderstood it. You should have simply downgraded your account from the professional selling plan to the individual selling plan to stop the £30 fee.

The only way to close your account is to be verified but if you have no plans of selling on Amazon again, you can just allow your account to become dormant and simply forget about it. At least you will have your sanity.

Just be aware that if you want to sell again, even using a different email or company, you will need to verify the existing account before you can close it.

Then just walk away and stop worrying. Don't bother trying to close the account.
