Change of Legal Entity
Changing Legal Entity from Sole Trader to Limited Company.
There are a number of older posts on here regarding this subject many of which are horror stories of deactivated accounts with only one or two saying the process was complicated but went smoothly.
Does anyone have an up to date check list or guide to the process, what documents are required, can these be pre-approved before submitting etc.
As advised on an older post I've tried mailing apuk-seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk which created a case as below but still waiting for a response after 3 weeks.
"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
I understand that you would like to change your legal entity type.
I have transfer this case to the verification team, the team will inform you once they open the option for you. "

Hi @Seller_UjjPjmRoz951d,
Before transferring your Selling on Amazon account to the intended legal entity, ensure that you do the following:
- Proceed with the disbursement of the pending funds linked to the account as a result of your selling activity on Amazon.
- Do not modify the email address that the account is currently linked to throughout the process.
To transfer your legal entity:
- Go to the "Settings" section of Seller Central:
- Click "Transfer Account" in the "Business Information" section.
- Follow the steps of the automated transfer process:
- Tick the box to agree with the Legal Entity Change process and click "Continue."
- Confirm the business information of the initially registered entity. Note that the information will not change at this stage and boxes will appear grayed out. Click "Continue."
- Tick the box to agree and accept the Terms & Conditions of the Transfer Agreement, and click "Continue."
The entity that was initially registered will be signed out and the new legal entity will sign in to complete the process.
