As an author, the journey of writing, publishing, and making books available to readers is a labor of love. But recently, I’ve faced challenges that have left me questioning the integrity of online selling platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and others.

These platforms push for COD (Cash on Delivery) orders, but at what cost? Not only do we face delayed deliveries, but we also pay double transaction charges—often without selling a single book.

Some individuals ask for COD deliveries only to copy the book and return it. As an author, I accepted that returns happen, but now, a new problem has surfaced.

It's not just book returns anymore. Now, people order my books, but when the package is returned, it’s filled with garbage or unnecessary items. How is it possible that the weight and size of the packet change drastically? It feels like some delivery agents are involved in this fraudulent practice, working with these wrongdoers.
I’ve raised these concerns with the platforms, but the response has been inadequate. As a result, I’ve had no choice but to remove my books from Amazon and other platforms. It's a decision no author should have to make, but the constant exploitation and dishonesty have forced my hand.
Despite being one of the most-viewed writers on Vedic Mathematics, with my books nationally awarded, implemented in schools, and recommended by hundreds of teachers and parents, I feel these platforms undermine the value of authors' hard work. We deserve better.
To all fellow authors, publishers, and readers—let's raise our voices against these malpractices. Books are not just commodities; they are a reflection of our identity and passion. Let’s not let these platforms make us feel otherwise.
