Variation images appearing only, not parent

Hi,

Im new to selling on amazon and i am just setting up my listing.

My product comes in 5 different sizes with 3 different colours (black, white, beige). (15MSKUS)

Now, i have uploaded a main product image (White background) for each variation, however i have a main
Heroimage which i have not used for any of the variations as i want it especially as my main product image on the parent listing so customers can see. This main product image does not have multiple colours just one particular colour which i believe is the best seller.

However, after completion of the child listings i go to preview my listing by clicking on the main parent listing and it just shows me one image, which is the main image of my white variation child listing as the main hero image of the listing. I know we do not upload pictures on the parent listing as you cannot sell from the parent listing, but how would i get my preferred main hero image as the main image?

Hi babyband,

When you click on one of your items to view it, it always loads one of the variations (you can tell this by checking the Asin the the loaded pages URL) … however, this is what I have noticed… the main parent only image will show now and then when Amazon are listing suggested alternatives or in one of the panels for options… equally, searches will show the variation image - but even though I think you’ll struggle to see it, it will appear in searches now and then - I’ve seen mine. Its hard to explain, so I hope that makes some sense. Generally, the variation main image will be what turns up on a specific search and when you load the page though. Sometimes I’ll put the nice image with all the options or the nice image later in the images as it can be nice for the customer to see this too within the variation option - perhaps with a photo-shopped note on it saying something appropriate, e.g. ‘Also available in other colours’

Hop this makes sense.

Good luck going forward x
