Variations splitting randomly with no explanation

Does anyone else have issues with product pages that have been established for many years suddenly separating without any explanation?

The parent page now displays this error

  • This SKU has an inconsistent product classification with the ASIN. Please submit a feed to update this SKU to match the ASIN product classification.

Thanks

I have had this problem before when the brand has been updated on some of the children. Sometimes it might be a simple as a capital letter or a space somewhere.

I have never managed to fix it. I have tried all the different guesses that seller support provided but it never works. I am not sure I even managed to make seller support understand the issue.

I would suggest checking that the brand and the category match on all items.

We have had this too. Suddenly all gone into seperate listings.

Contacted Amazon with no luck, so now we have loads of listings just seperated. Very strange.

Ill give it a try I know from having this happen before one product was split up and then I got hit with violations trying to put it together when everything was identical, I wish there was a fix for this because it makes the product page so much more cluttered and dysfunctional. 10 product pages over 1, my variations are simple colour and size, ill report back if I get anywhere!
