Advice on packing goods when sending to FBA

Hi Forum,

I am fairly new to selling on Amazon FBA and need to understand how to better package the goods.

I will shortly have my stock arrive which are new Netgear products. They are being shipped to me from wholeseller in big double wall cardboard boxes. They come in sturdy boxes with shrink wrap over them.

Should I just stick FBA labels on them and put back into double wall cardboard box and send to FBA?

Or should I wrap each Netgear product in additional bubblewrap to further protect it and then stick FBA label on top of bubblewrap.

I am being paranoid as I read forums and articles about Amazon buyers being very picky e.g. if Shrinkwrap has a small hole in it buyer will raise a claim and say the item is not new etc…!

I do not know if that is the truth of how serious it is, but just want to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Please advise.

Amazon will pack your products further upon despatch, Netgear similar to a number of product lines we sell is fine to ship in the original Netgear packaging or brown boxes depending on product type, you label each product with the FNSKU and pack these into whatever outer carton is suitable for normal overnight shipping to the relevant Amazon FBA Centre. When your goods are shipped on to the customer they will be typically packed in much larger boxes with outer packaging, any sensitive products such as Hard Drives you can request bubble wrapping is required from the drop down menu during the FBA shipment process.

This will do the job. If you receive your products safe in that box, why wouldn’t Amazon? It saves you time, energy and resources. But make sure you check the box and ensure you have received the right quantity you paid for
