DE VAT - mismatch in the business address

As usual with SS I am having the same conversation over and over again, they just keep pasting the same email.

I received the email about the new German VAT law requiring a match of Selling Partner’s business name and tax address on the Tax Settings page in Seller Central with BZSt database, fair, however, Amazon needs to fix their website so this can be done.

Our registered business address is different to the address on our German VAT, I don’t know why, I didn’t set it up. Because of that, on Amazon, when you put a different UK address in for German VAT it says “The address must match the country of your tax registration number. Please enter a valid address associated with this tax registration number. If you do not have an address in this country, you should use your primary business contact address.” But of course, I can’t use my primary business address because that’s against the new German tax law.

Has anyone encountered the same? If so, how have you dealt with it?

I also have this issue "Your account is non-compliant with German VAT legislation as your name and/or address in Seller Central does not match with the German Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt). "

I’ve been back and with Avalara and amazon for almost 3 months now and its still no closer to being resolved.

I had this problem. I went around in circles for a bit. Then I wrote to the email address that Amazon provided for appeals and got a helpful answer clearly from a real flesh and blood human being.

They gave me the exact address that they had on the Amazon systems and then I wrote to the German Tax office and they changed it in a couple of days.

I then sent the confirmation email that the Germans sent to the Amazon appeals email address. They wrote back and confirmed it was fine.

It still took a few days for the warning to disappear.
