UPC vs. FNSKU - which do I use?

Am new to Amazon FBA therefore really appreciate your help.

Which do I use, FNSKU or UPC? (to stick directly on my products prior to sending to Amazon FC)

FNSKU Labels are the product labels that are generated when you create a shipping plan these are the individual products labels attached / stickered to the outside each individual product. The UPC is the Same as an EAN/GTIN is the products manufacturer bar code not all products have these but these are usually the retail bar codes on products

Use FNSKU (you can print them without creating a shipping plan) & cover any EAN label with them & select NOT Comingled.

So from what I read if I use a FNSKU label, I don’t need a UPC code?
And on a product where there is a UPC code i.e. the manufacturer code, I just stick the FNSKU on top of the already existing UPC?
