How can I know what qualifications a rechargeable product needs and how to sell it in compliance on Amazon?

The specific requirements depend on your product type.
For device batteries like mobile phone or laptop batteries (Device batteries and chargers), you'll need certification for one of these standards:
- UL 2054, or
- UL/CSA 62133, or
- IEC 62133-2
If you're selling power banks (Portable power supplies), you can either:
- Get UL 2056 certification, or
- Meet a combination of battery and equipment standards (check the "Our policy for portable power supplies" section of the help page for the full list)
For any rechargeable lithium product, you'll also need to provide some additional documentation. According to the "Requirements for lithium batteries" help page (link):
- Complete battery information in your listing
- Battery exemption sheet
- UN 38.3 lithium battery test summary
- Test reports from an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory
- Clear product images showing all required markings and documentation
