Seller Fulfilled Prime Collection

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone could clear up some confusion I had around seller fulfilled prime. I understand that you need to buy at least 98% of your order shipping from the “Buy Shipping” section on Amazon, however, what I didn’t know is if we had to schedule a collection ourselves or if Amazon would automatically get the selected courier to come to the shipping location?

I think part of the confusion comes as there is a section in shipping settings on seller central where you have to select an “order cut off time” and a “pick-up time”.

Not strictly true, with DPD for example you cannot use your own account, you need to register with their SFP team which creates a totally new account.
You will then arrange pickups with them directly.

Even when using Amazon logistics you arrange pickups/etc. with the courier directly.
The settings you are seeing are for letting Amazon know what you have arranged with the courier, this affects the cut-off times the customers see (note that orders that are placed before the cut-off that go into “pending” status can become live orders up to 59 minutes AFTER your cut-off time and still require same-day despatch).

Hi you will need to have an account with the courier your wishing to use such as RM so you would already have this in place with the selected courier if that makes sense.

you already have to have accounts with RM, Amazon shipping or DPD and have them linked to your Amazon Account. RM has to be tracked service. So how you get your parcels to the couriers, it is up to you to arrange.

Bear in mind that you got a very tight window to get your parcels out same day. So make sure you got logistic in place or you will get suspended.

A follow up question:
If I have only one sale right after the cut off, say at 1:55pm, I would then buy posting for all the items sold that day. When would DPD or Amazon logistics come to pick up the item?

Is Amazon arranging the pick up for me right after I purchase the postage or do I need to arrange a pick up for the items sold until the cut off date? Do I need to arrange a pick up with them every day by 5pm to ensure any sales go out by the timeline? I just want to check the actions and timings between the cut off date pick up. If I do not have any sales - I would not want the carrier to show up and have to pay a ‘nothing to collect’ penalty.

Many thanks for sharing your experience with the steps
