Read onlyWe have had 100s of listings removed because we use the generic term "cola" funnily enough all these items are "cola" flavoured sweets! some of the are our own brand some are others all of which have been purchased and listed correctly just detailing the flavour is "cola" Not once have we used the trademark "cocoa-cola" none of the products have anything to do with "Cocoa-cola" no artwork or description relating to that trademark!
Cola is a generic term describing a flavour ias ever amazon doing nothing PLEASE HELP
You will need to open a case with seller support and get them to escalte to the correct team once you have done this and nothing happens you can then come back on here and ask the support of the MODS as they cannot help without a seller support number.
You have probably been hit by a BOT checking your listings and your going to be in for a world of wasted time over the next few weeks trying to get it sorted. It might not even be "Coca-Cola" it may jusy be some dodgy trader who has made the brand name as cola.
we've been hit by this kind of nonsense with the bots picking up same similar trademarks in the wrong class of products, we have successfully appealed where we sell in class 25 clothing and there is a random trademark for the same term in nuclear products etc... takes a while:(
there is a registered trademark in the uk for COLA.. UK00901362516 but they make thermometers and stuff in a different class of product than you, maybe that's what sent the bots off? good luck with seller support, hope u get it sorted!
Us too and amazon states they are trade marks.. trying to get them reinstated even showing them proof they not is like banging head against a brick wall as ever
I've just been hit with about 10 issues as my listings have the text " in loving memory " because I sell in loving memory items. Apparently that free choice wording is a trademark. Hmmm
We were hit by the exact same trademark issue for cola flavouring. I simply got a case open with support and said how ridiculous this was and please explain further how I have use a trademark from Coca Cola. The listing was reinstated in less than 24 hours and the intellectual property/trademark claim was removed.
It is all done by bots it seems but when an actual human looks at the listing, they see no issue.
We had the same issue.
Took a lot of reopening of the SS case, but after pointing out that 'cola' is not trade marked and is a word in the English dictionary, we eventually got them reinstated.
I also asked SS about supermarkets selling their own brand Cola products - are Coca-Cola going to be suing them? just to show how ridiculous this all is.
We had the same problem. I was expecting months of fruitless back and forth with seller support but to my absolute astonishment they reinstated all the ASIN's when i told them we were not using "coca-cola' and just "cola". I think that could be the first time in many years SS have actually resolved a problem on the first ticket.
It's not just Amazon bots who do this, I had exactly the same with Google ads, my other company has 'Cotswold' in the title and apparently that infringes someone's copyright!
After yelling at Google and giving them the example that the 'London Stock Exchange' doesn't own the word 'London', it isn't theirs exclusively and it doesn't ban every other person on the planet from using it in any context whatsoever they gave up and reinstated me, but only after several heated exchanges!
Point out you are NOT showing as Coca Cola (It is not Cocoa-cola as you stated, that may confuse them spelling it that way).
I had a London photo removed as that had an advert for Coca Cola in it, which we mentioned on the listing. We altered to just saying Cola, and they removed the violation.
We pointed out we said Cola and NOT Coca Cola (even though it was that in the photo!)
Hello @Seller_oaZcK7RJTqBz2,
