SAFE -T-Claim Seller needs to be debited to be eligible to file SAFE-T claim.
FBM Return - WHY is it EVERY TIME I try to get the return shipping refunded for an item buyer said was "defective" BUT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION, when I paste the order number in the sae -t claim bar, I get "Seller needs to be debited to be eligible to file SAFE-T claim."
DEAD END??? I'm stuck with the bill again??

Are you issuing the refund because it wasn't an RFS, or is RFS issuing the refund? If it is RFS, you should be able to do the SAFE-T claim. I do them all the time.

Hello @Seller_F68v7s55WcB6X
Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.
To echo @Seller_DdmPiA1p1S2Wu, Is the order in which you are trying to open the SAFE-T Claim part of the prepaid returns program where the refund was issued at first scan?
For context, only refunds that are issued to customers by Amazon on your behalf are eligible for SAFE-T Claim reimbursements. You are not eligible for reimbursement if you issued refund to the customer. Orders with an A-to-z Guarantee claim are also not eligible for SAFE-T claims
For orders where you are initiating a refund for a return request, if you described and listed the item accurately but the buyer just no longer wants it or made an ordering mistake (for example, selected the wrong size or color), you may refund the item price but not refund the shipping cost.
I have included some help pages below that provide additional detail on refunds and SAFE-T Claims for your reference if needed:
Returns, refunds, cancellations, and claims
Reimbursement policy for prepaid return labels in the seller-fulfilled network
If you are still receiving that messaging when trying to open a SAFE-T Claim, please feel free to include the order ID number to this thread and I can take a look.

I wish Seller could get more assistance or help for the claim when the buyer did not return the item and Amazon just issued the refund!
