I have joined only recently but already received good sales, despite listing just a few items.
Based on what I have seen, the entire site looks really ambitious and I can imagine that it will grow over time.
I think that everything depends on what you are selling, whether the products are demanded and if you are willing to invest time into making your listings on the site look good.
They also offer various promotions for sellers which mean that the monthly fees are waived.

When I last tried to sign up a few years ago, they needed barcodes for every SKU, even with variations which meant for us as clothing decorators we needed 36000 barcodes. The other way around was to trademark every design which would have cost us millions

Tried it for a year had allot on over 700 listings. All very good sellers on all my other platforms.
Total waste of time in my opinion. Sold 6 in 12 months. The exact same listings had sold over 10,000 in the same period every where else.

After selling there for a year, we have shut down our onbuy shop.
With the same product range as on amazon or ebay we make 7 digit sales, but there we could barely get 1 sale a month.
From my position, not worth the hassle.
