Inventory file templates (part 3): Inventory Loader
Hello Sellers!
If you need to upload inventory for Media products that already exist in the Amazon catalogue, the Inventory Loader tool can make this process easier.
Because Inventory Loader cannot be used to create new product detail pages, you do not need to provide detailed product data. A single Inventory Loader file can be used to upload or modify listings in multiple product categories at the same time.
The Inventory Loader allows you to enter shipping settings for media products (Books, Music, Video, DVDs, usually referred to as ‘BMVD’) with optional fields for expedited-delivery and will-deliver-internationally.
NOTE: This feature is only available for Sellers with a professional selling plan.
To get started, download the Inventory Loader template.
You can perform the following actions using the Inventory Loader:
- Upload thousands of listings in a single file for matching against existing product pages on Amazon
- Keep your listings up to date by modifying existing products
- Add new inventory
- Delete or "zero" inventory quantities for unavailable products
- Purge and replace all listings
Search for products and download a pre-filled template.
You can search for products that already exist in the Amazon catalogue and then list them using a pre-filled template. Minimal product details are required.
Follow these steps to list your products:
- Select Catalogue from the Seller Central drop-down menu and then select Add products via upload . Click the List products already in Amazon's catalogue card to search using product IDs.
- You can search for products using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs or ASINs. You can enter multiple product IDs separated by a comma, space or line break. Up to 500 products can be searched at once.
- After you click Generate spreadsheet, you'll be presented with a pre-filled spreadsheet under the Downloads template tab. This will have the details of products that you've searched.
- Verify the products you want to sell and follow these steps:
If the returned result matches to the product you want to sell, add your offer details and the following information to the corresponding columns in the template:
- Price
- Quantity
- Condition
- Shipping options
- Any other optional columns that you want to provide
- Repeat the above step for all products in your list. If you don't want to add a particular product, you can either remove it from the list or change the Action for the template row to Ignored.
- Upload the completed spreadsheet in the Upload your spreadsheet tab. You can check the processing summary for your SKUs in the Status tab.
If you are unable to locate your product in the list, go to Add Products via Upload to download a product template. You can use the template to create new products in our catalogue using product attributes.
