What happens to FBA stock, if you close your account?
Hi all.
I’ve been selling on here for almost 20 years, but like many, I’m sick of Amazon. I was listening to the news the other day about the MI6 reporting how China are using “debt and data traps” to gain leverage in other countries, and I immediately thought: Amazon’s been doing that for years.
Anyway, I’m getting off topic. I’m running things down on here, and just wondered if anyone knows what happens to FBA stuff if I go from a Pro to Individual seller, or even close the account altogether?

I don’t think changing your selling plan makes any difference, unless a Pro plan is required for using FBA. If it is, or if you close your account altogether, you’d need to create a removal order first to get all your stock back from the warehouses

Can anyone confirm if you need to be Pro to keep stock in FBA, please?

Ultimately you’ll have to either recall or dispose of any stock to close your account otherwise it will continue to accrue charges, you won’t be able to close your account and you’ll ultimately go into debt on the account.
