Hermes collection no show
Hi - for the first time ever I chose Hermes home collection to ship a a rather heavy order - bought through Amazon.
That was three days ago and no one from Hermes/Evri has come to collect. I have not been given a collection time or date. When I enter the tracking number provided by Amazon in the Hermes/Evri website to see what’s going on it is not recognised - meanwhile the clock is ticking and the customer is waiting…
What should I do? At the moment I’m thinking of cancelling the order, apologising to the customer and getting her to order again (if she’s still interested) and use a different shipping method

Can you not just cancel the postage rather than the whole order and use a different courier
Did you set up business collections - or just a one off ?

If you have booked collection have you checked that you have booked parcel collection and not parcel drop off?
I use Hermes collection several days a week and collection times can be up to 8pm and 99% of the time they always collect.

Evri will NOT collect, unless you have a pre-arranged daily collection. You should only book drop-off using Buy Shipping without an Evri contract.
However, you can still take to an Inpost Locker or Evri Parcel Store.
You have been charged for the parcel, so you should use the label.

I took a return for a personal purchase to a parcelshop today and the QR code issued by Amazon on an FBA item was refused.

Exactly the same happened to me. So I took the parcel to an Evri drop shop and bar code wouldn’t accept it. Tried Evri (my Hermes) you just get a stupid answering machine who refers you to Amazon as postage bought through them. Like so many multi-nationals Amazon will provide you with everything but a contact number. ended up paying postage again and sending by Post office, which means there will be no electronic record of me ever sending this. It’s called being shafted sideways!!!

I’ve two questions;
-
I’ve selected Evri drop off, went to Co-Op and they couldn’t accept the Evri parcel as the label wasn’t being recognised, so I had to cancel and re-purchase through Packlink. Any idea why?
-
Can I drop Evri parcels off at inpost lockers, without making it an Inpost label? Do they accept any Evri parcel?
Thanks

I also experienced a reluctance from EVRI: I bought THREE shippings from EVRI and nobody turned up for collection. I brought three parcels to the Evri shop but they did not recognise the shipping stamps.
I ought to cancel EVRI shipping and bought Amazon shipping. Amazon treated that cases as LATE DELIVERIES without taking into account my effort and EVRI failure.

If you are near a main Evri depot - they let you drop off there.
We now have a proper collection and its working really well.
