Floating Candles Requirements
Trying to include floating candles in my product but am unsure about the requirements. I checked several other ASINS and they are not considered as HAZMAT. They also have sales throughout the years and so it seems that somehow they have overcome the meltable inventory policy. Any advice on what I would need?

Hi @Seller_SnFPH6mAqKAzt,
Let me share what I found in Amazon's help pages about the requirements.
Since candles are wax-based products, they fall under Amazon's meltable inventory rules. Under the "Meltable inventory requirements" section at Meltable FBA inventory, it states that products must withstand temperatures between 75-155°F. For FBA sellers, you can only send these items to fulfillment centers between October 16 and April 14.
However, there's good news - if your candles can handle higher temperatures, you might be able to get an exemption. You'll need a letter from your manufacturer (on their letterhead) confirming the products can be stored at 155°F for extended periods.
I noticed you mentioned other similar products aren't classified as hazmat. While that's helpful research, Amazon evaluates each product individually. According to Dangerous goods identification guide, you'll need to check with your manufacturer about hazmat classification and get a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) if required. The help page notes that "The physical and chemical properties of a unique, finished product define whether or not it's a dangerous good."
Hope this helps explain the requirements!
