Place of manufacture query

I have noticed that when listing single Cds we now have a mandatory box called “Place of Manufacture” with a stupid drop down box. This really slows adding items down as it takes time to check and add the info required.
My questions are these:

1. Is there a quick way to fix all Places of Manufacture as UK or wherever?
2. Where on the Inventory Loader is this mandatory field placed?
