I really am at my wits end with Amazon at the minute, why is there always new issues every week, i'm starting to give up. I'm now facing multiple issues, i sell printed t shirts...
Issue 1: Any listings that ive uploaded that are in multiple colours such as black and white, are giving me errors in the variation part when i go to edit listing, yet any t-shirts that ive put on as a single colour, i can edit those perfectly. See below
Yet this t-shirt below which is a single colour does not give any errors yet both are using the same data it makes no sense...
^ Does anyone know how to possibly solve this?
Issue 2: Amazon added care instructions to one of my best selling items which has now caused big drop in sales & over spending in ads, why would amazon decide to add 'Hand wash, Do No Tumble Dry, Iron Carefully' without even telling me? I did not have any care instructions entered so if amazon wanted me to add care instructions why didnt they suggest it to me rather than entering false information. The t shirt can be washed by any means, can go in the tumble dry, iron carefully is fair because you shouldn't iron over the print obviously, but why on earth would they add this? I know i can edit the listing and add my own care instructions (hopefully) which is what i'm trying to do but this reflects on my first issue because i'm getting errors in the variation tab for some reason. This isn't the first instance either on some of my other t-shirts theyve added Care Instructions: Do No Iron ... who's going to buy a t shirt that says do not iron in the description, it's ridiculous. I've been on to amazon seller support and asked them to remove it for me because i can't update the listing due to the variation errors and they said .. Before we can process and respond to your request, we need you to provide us with one of the following valid documents:
- Manufacturer's or Publisher's (for books) website URL clearly showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.
- Manufacturer's catalog (Product User Manual), either scanned image of the physical catalog or PDF version showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.
- A high-resolution photo of the item in its original packaging showing the product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.) code and the attribute or attributes that you need to change.
Why should i have to go through this to get amazon to change false information that they have put there? It's a joke. I'm my own manufacturer and brand, i only sell on Amazon, so i don't have a website to show suggested changes, i don't have a catalog because my catalog is on amazon and i have a picture of the item in the package but what does ''attribute or attributes that you need to change.'' mean? So basically just put a sticker on my item with the correct care instructions and then amazon 'might' change it for me, no doubt they'd want more information anyway. It's ridiculous, amazon you added it there so you take it off and stop making me jump through hoops.
Issue 3:
These last 2 days ive had a few listing policy variations pop up saying bullet point removed, however when i check it's not actually removed any bullet points, these are the bullet points i use on every listing i have ....
^ also don't understand why it says its only removing bullet points from those 2 sizes yet not all the other sizes on that listing? and as you can see above it's not removed any bullet points, ive checked the bullet points in the parent listing and the child listings and there all the same as i have them, i used to have bullet points removed when i'd put 'Fast & Free Delivery' because you cannot put this due to amazon policy, but that bullet point was actually removed from the listings yet and when i changed it the violation dissapeared, yet this time it doesn't seem to be removing anything so what's going on? there's nothing wrong with those bullet points above is there? Did something recently change regarding bullet points i may have missed? I've had to delete 10 or so listings just to remove these Listing Policy Violations from the account health page.

wow a lot of questions there and I think seller support would be perplexed by them but i will try and tackle a few for you if you like.
The issue you are having with the variations actually gives you the clue in the error field. It means you have entered a variation field but have put nothing in it. Delete the option in your custom tool backend and this should then remove the requirement for it. The alternative would be to add something in there as a term as you only need one term for it to work. Personally I would delete it.
There are a couple of factors that affect the dates of delivery and I would perhaps have a look to see if you have assigned the same shopping template to each Asin. Sometimes you have one that is created by yourself and there could be a default lurking in the background. Just go onto your inventory tab and make sure they are all the same, if not then change to the one that suits you.
It is also not unusual for Amazon to show different delivery dates for products that come from your store it seems to be based on the catalogue listing and your settings as well as your location settings on your computer.
For the care instructions this may have been changed by AI, Amazon has been rolling it out over the past couple of weeks. Just go into your listings and make the alteration to the relevant field that you require. If there was nothing in it, then it is likely that Amazon have put it in as a default. You don't need to suggest changes if you are the brand owner you should be able to just do them. If you cannot do it manually then download a spreadsheet and fill in the relevant fields with your changes and then do a partial update to those fields and you should be all good.
With regards to the bullet points I have no idea
Hi,
Thanks for your reply, yeah i didnt bombared seller support with all these issues dont worry lol i just asked them to remove the care instructions that amazon added.
Anyway regarding the variation, obviously i can see that it says i havent entered anything, however when the listing was put up it was all entered correctly & ive been able to edit that listing fine up until 2 days ago because i edited it twice last week, you see how the image below the one with errors with just a single colour is fine.. using Alpha for adults and then Age for kids, i can edit single coloured t shirts no problem but any that have more than 1 colour are now throwing me errors...
So let me show you, if i click edit to go in to re-enter the data, obviously for kids i use Age. So no age option appears ? ...
^ so you see the two with the arrows, there not showing any errors, and i use 'Age 14 - 15 Years etc' , depending on the size of the t shirt, i click edit on the one that shows error and there is no age option? Also bare in mind i uploaded that sku exactly the same as the others, the one in the picture above showing error is Kids 7-8 so it was uploaded as Age - Kids 7 Years 8 Years. also bare in mind this listing has never showed me any errors in the variation and i could edit this listing perfectly last week. Something is definitely broken there. But thinking about it after reading Robot Raves post, what im thinking might of happened is amazon is now classing some of the variations as shirts rather than t-shirts? probably makes sense and that's why there's no age option. Because also if i do enter data in one of the ones showing me an error, it will then fix that, but then show errors on the sku's that werent showing any error and vica verca, so it's impossible to fix because it's a never ending loop of fix one then the others shows error.
I know it all sounds a little confusing sorry.
Also regarding the delivery times, i only have 1 product template assigned to all my SKUs, i did check this before i posted and as you can see from the 2 photos above that both delivery locations were my own address i didnt use different address's, so showing 2 different delivery times for different sizes in the same item makes no sense at all.
And yeah i understand that i can update the care instructions myself, which is exactly what i'm trying to do on that t-shirt above but because it's throwing me errors in the variation part which i can't seem to fix i cant save the listing to update. that's why i did reach out to seller support to ask them to remove it.
Thinking about it though, I'm pretty sure what's happened is amazons A.I has taken over this listing, its now classing the white variation as a shirt rather than a t-shirt because like robot rave has said above , this listing too is also asking me to enter a collar style and sleeve length etc which does not apply to t-shirts. And this will be the same time the A.I decided to add in false care instructions. Those care instructions would look like they'd apply to a shirt rather than a t shirt aswell.
I've given up with amazon now anyway, you spend so many hours each week putting new listings on for amazon silly A.I system to keep changing things that we can't fix, i also had the issue where amazon's A.I system decided to merge different t-shirts together, changing listing images to random things which was impossible to fix except for deleting and reuploading. All un-necessary time consuming issues that wouldnt be issues if things were left alone. It's time to move on

I looked at the list of attributes for t-shirts to try and fix some of our non UK listings - was told be CS they are classed as shirts.... opened the list and there are over 187,000 variations in the shirt category. It is impossible to fix/edit the listings as it's insisting we enter information about the size, sleeve length etc which don't apply to standard crew neck t-shirts. On our UK listings we have countless variations where AI has decided to use a totally different image from random other listings we have. Again impossible to correct - we have given up deleting them and starting over as the AI is likely to change the image again. Then there is the issue with so called high pricing ........ Slowly but surely our listings are being eroded away and sales decline......
