What is going on with my Amazon account. Multiple issues T Shirt seller..

I really am at my wits end with Amazon at the minute, why is there always new issues every week, i'm starting to give up. I'm now facing multiple issues, i sell printed t shirts...

Issue 1: Any listings that ive uploaded that are in multiple colours such as black and white, are giving me errors in the variation part when i go to edit listing, yet any t-shirts that ive put on as a single colour, i can edit those perfectly. See below

img

Yet this t-shirt below which is a single colour does not give any errors yet both are using the same data it makes no sense...

img

^ Does anyone know how to possibly solve this?

Issue 2: Amazon added care instructions to one of my best selling items which has now caused big drop in sales & over spending in ads, why would amazon decide to add 'Hand wash, Do No Tumble Dry, Iron Carefully' without even telling me? I did not have any care instructions entered so if amazon wanted me to add care instructions why didnt they suggest it to me rather than entering false information. The t shirt can be washed by any means, can go in the tumble dry, iron carefully is fair because you shouldn't iron over the print obviously, but why on earth would they add this? I know i can edit the listing and add my own care instructions (hopefully) which is what i'm trying to do but this reflects on my first issue because i'm getting errors in the variation tab for some reason. This isn't the first instance either on some of my other t-shirts theyve added Care Instructions: Do No Iron ... who's going to buy a t shirt that says do not iron in the description, it's ridiculous. I've been on to amazon seller support and asked them to remove it for me because i can't update the listing due to the variation errors and they said .. Before we can process and respond to your request, we need you to provide us with one of the following valid documents:

- Manufacturer's or Publisher's (for books) website URL clearly showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.

- Manufacturer's catalog (Product User Manual), either scanned image of the physical catalog or PDF version showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.

- A high-resolution photo of the item in its original packaging showing the product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.) code and the attribute or attributes that you need to change.

Why should i have to go through this to get amazon to change false information that they have put there? It's a joke. I'm my own manufacturer and brand, i only sell on Amazon, so i don't have a website to show suggested changes, i don't have a catalog because my catalog is on amazon and i have a picture of the item in the package but what does ''attribute or attributes that you need to change.'' mean? So basically just put a sticker on my item with the correct care instructions and then amazon 'might' change it for me, no doubt they'd want more information anyway. It's ridiculous, amazon you added it there so you take it off and stop making me jump through hoops.

img

Issue 3:

These last 2 days ive had a few listing policy variations pop up saying bullet point removed, however when i check it's not actually removed any bullet points, these are the bullet points i use on every listing i have ....

  • Do Not Iron Over Print
  • All Prints Are Made Using The Latest DTF Technology
  • High Quality Print With Excellent Durability
  • Regular Fitted T-Shirt

imgimg

^ also don't understand why it says its only removing bullet points from those 2 sizes yet not all the other sizes on that listing? and as you can see above it's not removed any bullet points, ive checked the bullet points in the parent listing and the child listings and there all the same as i have them, i used to have bullet points removed when i'd put 'Fast & Free Delivery' because you cannot put this due to amazon policy, but that bullet point was actually removed from the listings yet and when i changed it the violation dissapeared, yet this time it doesn't seem to be removing anything so what's going on? there's nothing wrong with those bullet points above is there? Did something recently change regarding bullet points i may have missed? I've had to delete 10 or so listings just to remove these Listing Policy Violations from the account health page.

On this listing below, if you click the kids size 3-4 it shows delivery 4-7th , yet if you click any other size it shows delivery 4th-5th. What's going on there? I print, pack and post all my t shirts myself. Makes no sense how it can be showing 2 different delivery times.

wow a lot of questions there and I think seller support would be perplexed by them but i will try and tackle a few for you if you like.

The issue you are having with the variations actually gives you the clue in the error field. It means you have entered a variation field but have put nothing in it. Delete the option in your custom tool backend and this should then remove the requirement for it. The alternative would be to add something in there as a term as you only need one term for it to work. Personally I would delete it.

There are a couple of factors that affect the dates of delivery and I would perhaps have a look to see if you have assigned the same shopping template to each Asin. Sometimes you have one that is created by yourself and there could be a default lurking in the background. Just go onto your inventory tab and make sure they are all the same, if not then change to the one that suits you.

It is also not unusual for Amazon to show different delivery dates for products that come from your store it seems to be based on the catalogue listing and your settings as well as your location settings on your computer.

For the care instructions this may have been changed by AI, Amazon has been rolling it out over the past couple of weeks. Just go into your listings and make the alteration to the relevant field that you require. If there was nothing in it, then it is likely that Amazon have put it in as a default. You don't need to suggest changes if you are the brand owner you should be able to just do them. If you cannot do it manually then download a spreadsheet and fill in the relevant fields with your changes and then do a partial update to those fields and you should be all good.

With regards to the bullet points I have no idea

I looked at the list of attributes for t-shirts to try and fix some of our non UK listings - was told be CS they are classed as shirts.... opened the list and there are over 187,000 variations in the shirt category. It is impossible to fix/edit the listings as it's insisting we enter information about the size, sleeve length etc which don't apply to standard crew neck t-shirts. On our UK listings we have countless variations where AI has decided to use a totally different image from random other listings we have. Again impossible to correct - we have given up deleting them and starting over as the AI is likely to change the image again. Then there is the issue with so called high pricing ........ Slowly but surely our listings are being eroded away and sales decline......

Ahhh so it does seem that amazons A.I has gone through and changed all my t-shirt listings to shirts in the product type. This also explains why ive been 70% down on sales since this happened in the last week. Great stuff amazon.

How do i change these all back to t-shirts instead of shirts?

Seller_9EVIA75XXLsLl

If you're willing to take help from a competitor...

The product type is supposed to be 'shirt', that bit's fine. However there's a whole raft of additional fields that Amazon often insist they need for products which vary depending on the product type. For shirts, we've added:

target_gender

age_range_description

shirt_size_system

shirt_size_class

outer_material_type

fabric_type

shirt_body_type

shirt_height_type

shirt_size

fit_type

neck_style

style

These additional fields keep on changing as Amazon cannot stop meddling, so you need to keep on top of them. If you haven't provided these, Amazon's bots will fill them in with whatever random stupidity they come up with and it's the devil to get them fixed.

If you submit a flat file upload with values for all the above, it may fix some of your issues. Try it on one listing (update all parent and child records for that listing) and then give it half an hour or so to see what difference it's made.

You should also be able to update the care instructions via an additional field as well - it will either overwrite it or refuse to update the listing at all because the data you're providing doesn't match the Amazon catalogue. Yes, they often change your data to their nonsense and then won't let you, the manufacturer, correct it.

If you submit a product upload via flat file as well, you can check the upload results to see what it's done. If it gives you an error that isn't incomprehensible, it will help you narrow down what the upload files are missing. Anything other than a green tick on the upload results page is worth looking into.

Actually, just noticed from your delivery estimate issues that you appear to be combining two different kinds of products there - kids and adults T-shirts. They use different size_systems so that may be where your issue lies - it may not like you using Alpha and Age systems in the same product. We have adults and kids T-shirts as separate listings.

Try the fixes above first providing a value for all the additional fields and giving it a bit to update. Failing that, try splitting the listing into the two systems and see what gives. Gonna be a real faff going through separating all those listings though - so let's hope it's not that.

---

For your bullets, it may be the second or third ones. It's a lottery as to what the bots will pull. Pick a listing and go through deleting the bullets one by one until it clears it. Then, at least you'll know which is the issue, even if you have no idea why. It would be helpful if the bots told you what it was they flagged but that would be far too easy.

---

The delivery times, there's nothing you can do about. Don't spend time thinking about it because you cannot fix it. It's unlikely to make that much difference to purchasing decisions. If you want to dig into it, it may be down to the dimensions of the products and Amazon guessing whether something's going to go large letter or parcel and adjusting delivery times based on that. However, as I pulled that from the same place Amazon got those wash care instructions from, I wouldn't pay much heed to it.

Hello @Seller_TufyJDtetbrlU,

I'm sorry to hear you are having so much travel to have your variation to work.

In this case, I recommend you to follow the step on the Create variations using product templates help page and submit the corrections for your products since it is faster and easier for multiple product updates.

If you continue to have issues, make sure to contact seller support with the batch ID and/or error information so they can help you troubleshoot and understand the issue.

To contact them, go to Seller Central > Help > Get help and resources or click here.

Thank you @Seller_9EVIA75XXLsLlyou had great advice here, i was already during the process of fixing my listings via the excels when you created your post. I have now managed to fix them all again, took me quite a few un-necessary hours but we got there. i have also filled in all the data columns to make sure hopefully the A.I system does just not add random data. But yes thank you, all very good advice there.

The only thing i will add is regarding the delivery times, as you mentioned ''They use different size_systems so that may be where your issue lies ''

All the other kids sizes except that one size were showing the correct delivery times, it was just that Kids Size 3-4 that was showing a longer delivery date, which still doesn't make any sense to me but hey ho.
