Shipping items loose on pallets question
Hi,
I sell an item which measures 115cm x 5cm x 5cm. Currently I pack these into cartons up to the weight limit of 30kg and send them to Amazon using UPS.
The cartons are hard to come by and expensive, so I am looking at other options.
Am I allowed to send these to Amazon on a pallet and loose in one pallet box (measuring 1200x1000x1000mm), or would I need to use cartons (up to 23kg each) stacked on the pallet? I cannot find anything in the guidance which mentions this.
Many thanks for any help.

Hi,
I’m assuming that you mean a container pallet?
If so, then I very much doubt that they will accept them.
They are quite strict in the way a pallet is delivered to them.
With restrictions on size and weight.
I would imagine, that if your going to use a pallet, then you would have to stack appropriately, then seal with cellophane or something similar.
Surely the manufacturer sells these via the pallet?

Ah, I think I’ve found the answer -
It says “Neither point-of-sale containers nor bulk boxes may be used for delivery.”
A pallet box may well count as a bulk box, although they haven’t worded it very clearly.
