ID issue - legal representative
amazon is asking me to send them a letter of authorisation for the legal represeantive. There is only me in the company but they insist i send it after several attempts of asking htem if the account has been set up correctly.
So it seems I have to write a letter to myself, authorising myself as a legal representative.
To me, this is illogical, inappropriate business activity. And contrary to what they tell me, it is no a legal requirement. The letter is in fact complete nonsense.
The chat and email responses are horrifically unprofessional, always avoiding answering my questions. So I do not really trust their confirmation that it is necessary to write a letter to myself, auhtorising myself. Furthermore, they refuse to telephone me so I cannot really pinpoint my concern. And my concern is this:
have I in fact set my account up incorrectly for there to be such a ridiculous demand?

It’s standard for sole traders
It’s a letter of authorisation and they’ll have sent you a link for the template which you fill in on letterheaded paper
When you say ‘company’ ate you registered as a ST or ltd ?
