Read onlyI list my ASIN (B00DU6IPT4) in the EU marketplaces at €50 (FBM), however, Amazon has decided it will be a featured offer at €40.
I do not wish to sell at €40 and have been getting differing to zero answer from Amazon. Why would I wish to discount my product when I am the only seller? Even if other sellers list it I would not discount it, as I do not compete on price, but on long term availability and my wide range of products.
An level 3 agent first promised me that the featured offer had been removed, but 2 days later it was still there. I then reduced my stock to zero (as there is another ASIN I offer for the same product which is at €50, but a further 2 days on a buyer was able to purchase it at €40 (which I then cancelled as a "pricing error"). Another case was raised and another agent gave me what seems to be some bull about it taking 36 hours for the 0 stock change to take effect, but yet another 2 days on it's still listed and available to buy at €40!
Am I misunderstanding something about featured offers, or please let me know how I can opt out and decide my own price?
I don’t understand. Amazon don’t just change your prices. They may “suggest” a price but you decide.
They may decide that you don’t get the buy box, even if you are the only seller, if your price is higher that their recommendation but they won’t change your price.
As per the above post, i think there's some kind of misunderstanding here.
It may be that Amazon have a reference price of 40 for that ASIN and so want you to list within that ballpark, but they don't just change your price to 40.
as above amazon wouldn’t just change the price unless you have setup a minimum price rule of some kind.
Could it be an Amazon-funded promotion?
Hi @Seller_BpmDKfOQzFj8l,
Have you had a chance to check if there might be any automated pricing rules active on your account?
You can check this by going to your Pricing rules page. This might explain why your price keeps changing to €40 despite your attempts to fix it.
Let me know what you discover.
Thanks, Ezra
