Updating for latest Apparel sizing

Can anybody help me ?
I received a message from Amazon saying I had to change my Apparel sizes in-line with their new Guidelines by 30th June or they will be removed (I currently use both the Generic Size and the UK Dress Size combined into 1 Drop Down Entry).
I was confused as to which Fields of “Size Name” or “Size Map” needed changing so I downloaded the latest Inventory Upload Template for guidance as to the Valid Values.
To my surprise the latest Template has Valid values which are incorrect to the Apparel Guidelines.
I then tried entering what I believe are the corrected sizes but got an error from the Upload.
I sought Amazon Support, twice now, asking which fields to update, to which I am still awaiting an answer and what was wrong with my rejected Upload. I received the answer that I “must use the sizes listed in the Amazon Catalogue”.
These are my original sizes I used when I created the Listings and apparently will soon be incorrect.
Can anyone tell me what they think I should do as Amazon Support are filling me with zero confidence ?

Hi

Yep we are having the same kind of issue and we are brand registered. Amazon emailed us saying we have 2200 items that needs to update to THIER sizing.

They want us to update to the imperial sizing which no one uses and of the people who do use this sizing they are of the older generation, 60+.

Apparently its suppose to make sizing easier for customers and make it more streamlined which makes no sense. Different manufacturers use different sizing so you can’t expect the manufacturing industry to change their sizing because Amazon want to.

They have already updated some of our sizing for our hats without our authorization and its already causing more confusion when customers are placing the order. They even incorrectly converted our size into the imperial size which makes it even harder for the customer to get the right size. Didn’t really have any issues regarding the sizing as this was displayed in a size guide but now its just creating unnecessary stress

Contacted amazon to change it back but get the usual generic response about they are sorry it isn’t the outcome we want and that’s about it.

Currently in contact with Brand Registry but getting the same reply of ‘we are working on your issue’ email for a while.

Size_map is the sizes that amazon uses on the back end of their system. Certain valid values that amazon uses.

Size_name is the size that you use yourself which would be linked to the size_map. Size_name is what the customer sees when they are selecting the size when in the drop down box

EG what we do for our hats is the size_map would be ‘large’ and then our size_name is L (59cm) and this is what they would see on the drop down menu.

We are given till end of August to update our listing but not sure whats going to happen if we don’t comply, more than likely they will block the listing until it is updated to how they want it to be.

Below is a link of what seller support sent us

Moving forward I think we are going to add a brand specific size guide for all our listing
