Trouble with duplicate ASINs?
Hello Everyone,
Duplicate ASINs not only make it harder for customers to find products, but can also make life difficult for you as a Seller.
If Amazon has identified a potential duplicate ASIN, this ASIN will be displayed to you in your inventory under Potential Duplicates. You then have 30 days to confirm whether this ASIN is actually a duplicate or not. If it is a duplicate, the product detail pages must be merged.
If you have not reacted within the 30-day period, the ASIN will be suppressed. Note that in this case, the ASIN can no longer be found on the Potential Duplicates page, but on the Suppressed page.
To avoid this hassle, it's worth checking on a monthly basis whether an ASIN has ended up on the Potential Duplicates page.
What experiences have you had with duplicate ASINs so far? Has it ever happened to you that you overlooked a notification about it and therefore couldn't react quickly enough, and the ASIN was suppressed? Or has it ever happened to you that product pages were merged even though the products were different?
