FBA Inbound Discrepancies Handled Inconsistently
A recent FBA shipment (ID FBA17HSHFK5G) had multiple discrepancies once received. I was able to open a case to investigate all discrepancies except one which said "Investigation completed - shipment contents counted and confirmed."
All discrepancies I was able to create a case to investigate were reimbursed and found to be "missing in the fulfillment center" (case ID 14487839731).
The single discrepancy I was not able to open a case for resulted in a 'Inaccurate item quantity in box' shipment performance problem. I submitted a dispute request which was denied (case ID 14536649881).
As demonstrated in the cases mentioned, I have asked seller support why these discrepancies were handled differently but that question was never addressed.
Please help me understand why discrepancies on the same shipment are handled differently.

You will never see any consistency when it involves Amazon seller support. You got lucky because usually they deny responsibility for most discrepancies.

Hello @Seller_YSD4m4Ar9ncpW
Thank you for contacting Amazon Forums. I'm sorry you had some discrepancies with your FBA shipment.
I reviewed the last case you mentioned (case ID 14536649881), and it appears that the unit(s) in question have been reimbursed.
I would also like to share a Video that explains some detailed tips on how to avoid discrepancies in future shipments. You can also use the shipment summary in Seller Central to learn more about the discrepancy.
Let me know if you have further questions.
