Hi, I am very new to selling on Amazon and sent my first FBA shipment just over a week ago.
I dropped it off with UPS on Monday 24th February and it was picked up by the courier the next day. I had 3 boxes; two were going to one centre, and the third box was to go to another centre.
The first 2 boxes arrived on the Friday, while the third box was moving a little slower. I noticed on the app that I had already made a sale for £29.99 on Wednesday 26th, despite this item being in the third box that wasn't even delivered to them until the weekend just gone, around 3-4 days later. It says on the transaction that it was to be delivered by Amazon on Thursday 27th.
I checked yesterday only to see that I have negative feedback and a refund has been issued to this customer, as apparently a battery compartment was rotten. I know for a fact that it wasn't, because I have been selling on eBay for 2 years and know to check my stock before even beginning to list it.
How did Amazon accept an order for an FBA listing that wasn't even in stock? They haven't even confirmed receipt of everything from that third box, even today. So how could they have sent MY unit to a customer by the 27th? Not only this, but they paid me £20, then deducted £25 from my earnings to refund the customer, leaving me down by £5 and I can only guess they will now be claiming the faulty unit was mine all along, which surely isn't possible without time travel? Meaning I won't ever be able to sell it.
Can anybody give any kind of advice or if they have heard of similar issues? Amazon don't seem to respond to the issue I described, they just dodged around it.
Thank you for any help you can give.
