Vat registration UTR number
Hello everyone!
I have trouble registering for VAT, HMRC asks for UTR number but i don’t have one.
I visited https://www.gov.uk/log-in-file-self-assessment-tax-return/register-if-youre-not-self-employed
and registered and it gave me my user ID.
But it didn’t give me the UTR.
Why?

If your UK Taxpayer you should have a Unique Tax Reference issued by HMRC.
The number below you can call to register for a UTR or find a lost UTR
If you have already been issued with a UTR number but can’t find it, call HMRC’s self-assessment helpline (0300 200 3310). To help them find your UTR number, it’s helpful if you have you National Insurance number to hand

After you register, you’ll get a letter within 10 working days (21 if you’re abroad) which will contain your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR).”
