Hermes items stuck at local depot

According to Hermes Tracking none of my parcels shipped since Monday (2 Dec) have moved beyond my local depot
Is anyone having a similar issue?
Tried Hermes live chat earlier only to be told I was number 787 in the queue and their helpline cuts you off after a recorded message

they have a massive backlog currently, and they are aiming to resolve it over the weekend, they have even reduced number of parcels coming in from Next and Boohoo etc, just so they can catch up,
Some trailers are just parked up at the main depot in Warrington, just waiting to go on the belts.

However it does seem the major retailers got the priority.

Dont use them, i had similar issue for last one months. 1 in ten orders our are either lost in their deport or customers receive damaged. Amazon sent us warning for one of our product which we used to send wiht Hermes. Now using Royal Mail, It is little expensive but you get what you pay for, Avoid Hermes even if they offer you for free.

Hermes sent an email to businesses with a dedicated number for business accounts.

It is working through its back log. I was told they asked office workers to volunteer to go work in the depots to get them back on track.

I’ve had a number of enquiries about late parcels and all but one were understanding.

I have compensation of £20 with my account and can purchase more insurance for a parcel as and when I want to.

Hermes lost 2 of my parcels last week. The item cost £7 and I sold for £20. That’s £28 insurance profit to help me keep my prices low.

Royal Mail may have a better service but I sell low price items with average transaction of £12 (£7-£20 range)

£2.28+VAT per parcel so Hermes is palatable.

They have major volume issues. I’ve a friend who works high up in their legal dept and they made all office based senior staff sort parcels in their warehouses this week! All hands to the deck. :joy::joy::package::package::package::package:

It’s fine having bumper black friday weekend sales - but they all need delivering
Just think of the millions of parcels.
Even Parcelforce have suspended adhoc collections on Thursday
