Basic question on FBA Fee Calculator
Hi all,
New seller here with a pretty basic question - i have searched the forums high and low and can’t find the answer, if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.
When i am using the FBA fee calculator(new version as old one was abandoned 31/08/22) it shows my fees plus the 20% VAT however the items that i am currently selling are being charged at the fee showing on the calculator minus VAT.
For example - 1 of my items i’m left with £4.41 after all fees, however on the fee calculator it shows that i should be left with ~£3.60 after VAT.
This is consistent with all items i’ve checked. Would i ignore the VAT charge to see the true fee when using the calculator?
Thanks in advance.

Are you VAT registered?
Check the fee breakdown in the FBA Fee calculator, it will include the storage fee per unit, the £4.41 in the transaction costs will not include the storage fee.

Your 2nd fee calculator is taking the vat that you pay to the vat man off your total
Same as you are supposed to take off packing, item cost etc to see if you would have any profit at the end of it.
Its not vat on amazon fees.
The 1st one matches because you haven’t put in any other information other than the default to calculate just the Amazon fees.
