Box volume does not meet the expected minimum cubic cm

Hi there,

I’m trying to create a new shipment to amazon, but a few of my SKU’s have received a message that ‘‘Box volume does not meet the expected minimum cubic cm…’’

I’ve been selling on Amazon for some time now and have not changed the dimensions of my packaging at all, and this is the first time I’ve received this message. And it’s only showing for certain SKU’s.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to why this is happening, and how can I go around it? I’ve seen a previous post of people stating that you can just ignore it, but in this instance it doesn’t let me proceed with inputting the amount of boxes i wish to send unless i fix the box issue.

Thanks in advance,

I had this problem a few week ago but I found a way round it.

If you enter the number of units you want to send and save it, it won’t accept it. However, if you refresh the page after saving it and confirming it, it will show the number of units that you want.

I’d suggest that you double check the size of your items.
The message sounds like they are expecting, x amount of space, but the size is actually different.
It could be that they are actually recorded as being larger than they are in reality.
The other side of that, is that you will be charged more to fulfil and store them.

I get it all the time, mostly because Amazon like to remeasure my greeting cards that measure about 2mm and if I’m lucky I can get them to agree they are just under 1cm to get them into the correct FBA price band.

So when I send them 100 cards that actually measure about 20cm they are expecting them to measure about 99cm and are confused as to how I can suddenly fit so many in the box…

Its never stopped me sending a box, usually I just click on continue and it lets me send the box in anyway

Thanks everyone for your feedback!

How do you send a box anyway? Because of the error, the box where i would input the quantity in boxes is grey, meaning I can’t input the amount until the issue is dealt with.

Happens a lot to me, I just ignore the warning and click continue… goes through as normal.

Some of my products are in bags, they get a bit squashed, the sizes amazon records for them are very slightly bigger than expected.
I had the same problem. I just increased the sizes of the boxes on the shipping info slightly and they were accepted.

We are having the same issue and we can’t click continue as it’s not accepting it. we opened a case, but amazon as usual just dismiss it without knowing the root cause of the issue. what browsers are you all using who seem to get through the warning without any issue?

The other way around it is to just increase the size of the box gradually until the system accepts it. The shipment with UPS is based on the weight, so it doesn’t affect costs. It happens to us where products nest together in the box, but we have to put the max outer dimension into the product info.

after that there should be confirmation, when you click confirm you agree that is correct and you will be able to create a shipment.

Same issue here - we are unable to create shipping plan on around 20 sku’s for last couple of days and can’t just hit confirm and ignore as “Quantity to send” boxes/units is greyed out
