Amazon Fulfillled 50 units instead of 1 unit
We have 2 different FBA Shipments with 10 boxes each containing 50 units on each boxes to Amazon for fulfillment.
However, it seems that the Amazon Fulfillment team has made an error in counting the contents of our shipment.
They have recorded only 10 units on each shipments instead of the actual total of 500 units each.
I've tried reaching out to the Amazon support team, but unfortunately, they've been sending canned responses without thoroughly reviewing the information and images I provided. I am including the shipment details below for your reference:
FBA15HW5TLVB - Sent 500 units
- Sent 10 boxes with 50 units
- only 10 units counted by amazon
FBA15HW5W07H - Sent 500 units
- Sent 10 boxes with 50 units
- only 10 units counted by amazon
I would really appreciate it if you could look into this matter and help us resolve this issue. Your assistance would mean a lot to us, as this error is affecting our customers and overall business.

Below is the post from one of our customer. He got the whole 50 units for £12.00

Was every item in the box barcoded?
I would imagine you were also supposed to cover the barcode on the outside box which has possibly caused confusion.
This is also a forum of other amazon sellers. In all likelihood - you may have to do a removal order and reprep as required.

Did you send each box individually or send the boxes within a larger box?

As the barcode begins with 50 instead of 050, it looks like the outer case has the individual item's barcode. This should have been removed or blanked out before sending to Amazon and you should have also stated with a label requesting the FC to open the box before booking in.
I would remove all stock urgently and fix the problem.

Remove the stock now.
In future:
No barcodes at all on the outer box.

When you go into the Shipment information for the shipment to Amazon, it should say that fewer units were shipped than expected.
You should have the option to investigate this by proving that you sent the number of items you claim, e.g with an invoice from your supplier or a signed packing slip if you manufactured them yourself.
Give that a try and see if you can get reimbursed for the units they've lost.

I appreciate what you are saying however what you have been doing does not meet Amazon's goods-in requirements and is liable to mistakes at intake and you should correct it to prevent future issues, even for US & Japan.
Any goods intake person with a couple of grey cells in their brain would know that you have sent 50 units and not 1 but if they are in a rush or lacking in the grey cell department, errors can happen.

As others have said, the issue is your carton has the product barcode on and therefore Amazon have scanned that as your unit rather than the individual units inside the carton.
Unfortunately, this is your error as you should have covered up that barcode or removed it entirely and Amazon won't accept responsibility so you will have to put this loss down to a learning experience and make sure you send things in correctly in the future.
