Report of Abuse being ignore by Amazon

Dear fellow sellers & moderators,

The owner/director of our biggest competitor keeps buying our product and returning them days later, this not only has has detrimental effect to our finance but also to our products NCX which is affected by the return comments. I also suspect the buyer is leaving 1 start ratings as these one star ratings appear days after the return, which is suspicious as the rest of ratings are 5 stars with a few 4 stars.

I was able to match the buyers name and address with our biggest competitor by cross referencing the buyers name and address on Amazon and companies house.

I reported this abuse by following report of abuse procedure under another seller is trying to hurt my business TWICE  but Amazon doesn’t seem to care about this.

Does anyone have any advise or prior experience with dealing with this kind of blatant abuse?

Below is the response I’m getting back from Amazon.

Amazon systems may not be picking up the address of the personal buying account of that person as tying up with the seller central address of that person, two different entities in Amazon. You could try a call with Amazon to try to explain the issue and would be the logical next step. Also if they're doing this regularly you could complain each time in the hope Amazon eventually cuts off their buying account.

You say 'keeps buying and returning your product' are you talking a few times or many times? A few could be seen as test purchases (although still cheeky to return), many times (i.e. already into double figures and happening several times a month) then they are attacking your business and you're into commercial dispute territory. If so it maybe time to bypass Amazon and consult a specialist commercial dispute solicitor who can advise on your next steps and/or the likelihood of success of any action.

Hello @Seller_oavl4D3corf6S,

Thank you for reaching out.

Does the report rejection notification include a case ID? Did you contact the Account Health team?

Kind regards,

Julia.

Hello @Seller_oavl4D3corf6S,

Apologies for the delayed response.

Would you mind sharing IDs of orders, which you are trying to report?

I can also reach out to you in a private message if you prefer.

Best,

Julia.
