Urgent need for KYC assistance
Greeting @Spencer_Amazon
We have received an email informing us that we must submit three documents to verify our actual business address.
Owing to the sudden nature of the incident, our annual turnover can reach £2,000,000, and we also pay £200,000 in tax to HMRC.
Please assist us in following up on this KYC process.
Prime big deals are imminent. Previously, KYC verification merely entailed a temporary freeze on payments; this marks the first instance where our account has been directly suspended.
So we were a bit flustered

Honestly, I don't know if anyone can see this.
Running Amazon is truly an asset-heavy business, and I need to invest a lot of money in FBA inventory.
This KYC audit is a huge blow to me. The reason for the KYC audit is that they suspect my address is the same as someone else's registered company address.
My employees are still working at that address, we're paying rent, and we're receiving all the HMRC documents.
Now I'm not sure if this KYC process will pass. I've invested nearly £250,000 in inventory in FBA, and my Amazon products are among the best-selling. I need to operate at a high speed, and I have a certain amount of debt to maintain this inventory procurement and operations.
If this KYC process fails (although it doesn't seem like a routine KYC audit to me) for a completely inexplicable reason, our annual VAT bill to HMRC will be close to £200,000.
I might run out of money, be burdened with debt, lose everything, or even commit suicide.
I just want a chance to survive, if anyone can provide me with even a little information on what to do.

Hello,
We are currently experiencing a very similar situation with our account. We also submitted all the requested documents (AD01, tenancy agreement, utility bills, passports, etc.), but Amazon did not accept them.
In our case, we noticed that many sellers facing the same issue had their registered company address defaulted by Companies House or had multiple directors listed, which may have triggered additional checks. When looking at your company details, I couldn’t see any such issues, which makes your case even more surprising.
What I also find unusual is that Amazon gave us a 30-day deadline for KYC verification, but our account was suspended only one day after receiving the notification. I know at least 50–60 other sellers going through the same situation right now, and most of them are stuck in the review process even though their documents are correct.
It seems to be a widespread issue affecting many compliant businesses. Hopefully, Amazon will review these cases properly and allow sellers to resolve them, since many of us are being impacted heavily.
Best regards

I am having the exact same issue. I have been selling on amazon for years and all of a sudden they want to verify our business operating address. I have submitted information multiple times over 2 weeks ago and nobody has responded to me. I have emailed managing director and seller support legal team with no response. If this continues we will also run out of money. Seems no one can be bothered to help us sellers in this situation.

Hello Amazon Team,
I’m confused about the sudden verification issue regarding our business address.
Our company was approved long ago and has been operating normally on Amazon. If there was a real issue with the address, we believe it should have been rejected during registration, not months later when we already have sales and funds held.
We’re not trying to hide anything. We’re just using a standard UK registered address like many other companies do.
At the moment, we only have a utility bill as proof of address. We kindly ask you to consider this document and understand that many legitimate businesses use similar registration services.
Please do not punish sellers by holding their funds when the address was already accepted during verification.
Thank you for your understanding.

I have the same problem. I don't reside in the UK. I manage my operations from Turkey. I work with an officially certified accountant based in the UK, and we established our company using their address. Their official services include providing an office address. I haven't had any problems with HMRC. I'm officially and legally registered.
In addition to all this, I previously declared that I was "not resident in the UK" in the VAT registration option Amazon offered me. Amazon already automatically collects everything deducted from my sales for VAT and paid to HMRC.
I haven't appointed a representative. I'm the sole representative of the company, and I already automatically pay VAT through Amazon.
Okay, but why is the address where I signed a contract and legally receive services a problem for Amazon? I haven't violated any Amazon policies. Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong?
But what really caught my attention is that no moderator has addressed the issue. There's a huge problem here, and the admins who could offer a solution seem to be turning a blind eye.

Latest Status:
Amazon just respond us and telling us we have failed the verification.
We selling 2 million per year and deactivated for KYC.
That is ridiculous. All the documents are real.
And we passed the KYC twice in this year.
Now this is third time and filed.
Just don't know why and how they threat us.
Now everything is going to be ruined.
I've almost exhausted all my time and money on this. Maintaining such a high sales ranking and sales volume is incredibly challenging.
I have various debts from FBA inventory turnover.
And Amazon is directly collecting a 19% tax from our account and paying it to HMRC.
Everything seems to be operating in compliance, but we don't know where the problem lies. We downloaded the last three documents they requested from HMRC to verify their authenticity.
Perhaps this is how ordinary Amazon sellers deal with this: they think they've given their all, only to end up like this. I don't know if I'll update this post again.
All my debts are coming due, and I won't receive my funds for a while (Amazon might even reject my payment appeal).
Since October 2nd, I've barely slept two or three hours a day, constantly sending emails, browsing forums, and seeking help.
It's over now. The pressure is immense. I even felt a sense of relief after seeing the final verdict. I can't face my family, and I don't have any hope.

Hello everyone, here's the latest update.
Sellers who encountered this KYC audit, whose address triggered the verification process, have almost universally had their accounts suspended.
This was a huge blow to us. We submitted all authentic information, and the most reliable proof of address was our HMRC correspondence and tax returns.
The underlying logic is that Amazon believes our address is suspicious. This incident is akin to a situation where they'd rather kill 100 people than let one go.
I'm not aware of any recent news reports about tax fraud or other scams involving addresses.
I only know that Amazon collects and submits our VAT to HMRC on our behalf. Even if our address is fictitious and fraudulent, we haven't defrauded HMRC of a single cent in tax revenue. Furthermore, we contribute £2 million in sales annually.
We contacted our MD, and someone from them contacted the KYC team. Unfortunately, they simply said our account failed the verification process, without even providing a reason. It's as if they've implicitly assumed that anyone who has gone through this KYC audit is, without exception, a fraudulent individual.
I know Amazon is a massive data company capable of making very accurate data decisions.
But they didn't even give us a chance to explain. We've already triggered KYC twice this year and passed both times.
In fact, the last KYC verification was on August 2nd.
I can't believe Amazon overturned its own audit results just two months later? This is extremely irresponsible to us. Our FBA inventory is worth nearly £150,000.
This KYC deactivation is enough to destroy my company and even lead to my personal bankruptcy. We have no place to defend ourselves.
Not even a single Amazon representative in the forum paid any attention to us.
