Returned cosmetic item has been opened and used
One of my SFPrime items has been returned as unwanted, auto-authorised by Amazon. I’ve no issue with that other than the cosmetic product has been opened, the seal removed and foundation dispensed. It has then been carelessly and messily reboxed and returned. It is thoroughly unusable ad I have no option other than to throw it away.
I include in my packaging a politely worded notice saying that refunds only apply to unopened and unused returns for hygiene reasons (excepting damaged goods, of course).
I haven’t actioned the return authorisation yet and cannot find a way to appeal the matter with Amazon.
Is there any action I can take here without damaging my seller reputation or metrics?

The seller has the option to deny the return and selecting the buyer has not taken reasonable care. Not actioning the return request within 24 hours will affect seller metrics.
