Seperate seller from a buyer account

Please can someone advise the easiest and cleanest way to separate a seller account from a buyer account. Both accounts have the same log in details and frankly I’m fed up with Amazon inflicting two step verification on me as a buyer. If i turn off two step verification as a buyer I have to turn it back on as a seller. I have numerous PCs, laptops tablets and phones all of which I use to buy on Amazon and lately even the option to select “not to ask for verification on this browser” has stopped working. I am not a big seller just moving on old LP’s, CDs, books that were my fathers.

The stock answer in most forums is to just create a new buyer account with a different email address and credentials but this means I will lose all my order history that goes back several years some of which is related to my business.

I read somewhere that I can nominate other people to manage a seller account. Could I safely use this option to delegate the seller account to my wife (who does most of the listing anyway) and then delete myself as the account holder?
many thanks

I would be reluctant to meddle with a seller account. Anything triggers a re-verification.

Just open a second buyer account and use that. Leave the existing one as it is. You can have more than one buyer account - Amazon has no problem with that.

as already suggested open a 2nd buyers account but dont ever turn your 2 step verification off on either account you may be selling low value items but once someones in they can list what ever they like your account would be a paradise to them and disabling it would be easy pickings i would also keep it on your buyers account as again once in you have your card details stored on there and they would just buy until your cards maxed out it is annoying at times but well worth the extra protection

When adding a device to two-step verification you can choose the option to remember the device so that you don’t have to have a text code each time you log in. Bit of a bugger if you lose a device but then they should be pin or password protected.

Thanks all who responded.
Looks like I’m stuffed then. A further complication is the buyer account is my Prime account and I don’t suppose there is a way to transfer this to a new buyer account. The only thing to do is create a new account on the Prime rental date. Why do Amazon make it so complicated!!!
Unfortunately Blu_Eyed_Boy the option to remember the device/browser does not work. I don’t know why I am not clearing out the cookies but every time I log in I have to verify with two step code.
Thanks again All

I delegated my seller account to my son. The seller account is now in my sons’ name with his bank details, address etc. All feedback and sales were carried over. Amazon did this for me, it took ages but it can be done. Contact them and explain that you want to transfer the account.
