Royal mail strike
I have asked Amazon why it is that as I can’t send anything today tomorrow they are still
saying dispatch by Friday. Mine are all letter post and if I did anything different I might as well not
bother at all as I would take no money.
EB have managed to change the dispatch dates to Monday but I will send Saturday so they go as soon
as possible,
I have written to all buyers to explain but there is a defect for not dispatching on time?

Because royal mail are not the only couriers and not every one uses royal mail so don’t want their dates extended
Have a search on here for amazons announcement and the many other threads
extending your handling times or putting on holiday settings are recommended if you cannot use a different courier
What did you do for the last 2 strikes ?

If your items say dispatch by Friday this needs to happen, you’ll get a late dispatch otherwise. At this late stage your best option is to mark them as dispatched but they won’t actually go til Saturday unless you’re in an area that is still processing mail

Yeah caught me out - I changed all my items to 3 day dispatch to cover the strike, but I forgot that one product is not handled by my inventory program, so it remained at 2 days as a result I now have a dozen orders that will need to be dispatched on Friday…

This is killing our Amazon sales. We’ve seen our daily sales go from a consistent 350 per day to under 100 in the past week due to the delivery dates. Our delivery dates are 15-16th September showing to the customer despite us having a 1 day handling time. Customers ordering today will receive them tomorrow or Friday. We don’t use Royal Mail for 99% of our parcels. We use Evri next day who are completely unaffected.
Why is Amazon penalising all sellers instead of checking who they send their parcels with?

The nonsense is not anyone here but might do the drop off at post office with adjusted date.

I havent changed anything, I had a premium post order which I was a little worried about as it was on the day of the strike, but I had already had the whatever will be will be thought in my head, you should have a message if you click on your performance right at the top you should have this message Due to the Royal Mail strike scheduled for 26-Aug, 31-Aug, 8-Sep, and 9-Sep, we understand you may encounter delays in pick-ups, leading to unavoidable handle time misses. We are tracking impacted orders and your account health will not be at risk if you are impacted by the strike. My VTR is still 100% and we use Royal Mail on everything except the big solar 4g cameras.

Might be another public holiday or two in the coming days to add to these strikes

The post office is still open, I took all my parcels down and posted them, they just won’t get collected but at least they have today’s stamp on them.
