I'm new to selling on Amazon and I've spent hours to find a solution for this problem but I still don't know how to solve it.
My business is registered in the Netherlands and I'm the sole proprietor. All the products that I sell are created specifically for my business and all products have labels with my business name. They also contain GS1 barcodes registered under my business name. I only sell my products on my own website and a couple of marketplaces. I'm trying to sell on Amazon but I keep getting an 8572 error.
I have submitted a list of EAN codes, product titles, GS1 certificate and screenshots of the error. Amazon keeps asking me for Proof of Affiliation. They say they need: "A copy of a letter or legal agreement from the manufacturer or brand stating that the UPC/EAN you are using is valid and belongs to them OR that you are permitted to use your own UPC/EAN(s), to sell unique products with their brand."
I am my own brand. Should I write a letter to myself? I chatted with Amazon Support for over an hour (!) and asked an example of what kind of proof they need and they keep repeating the same sentence. I provided a bank statement of my business and a copy of my registration at the chamber of commerce but none were accepted as proof. I also can't find an answer on the forums.
Does anyone have any idea what kind of proof they're looking for?
Any help is appreciated!
