Unfair One Star Book Review - assistance please
Hi,
I recently received a one star review on my Paperback/Kindle book listing…
"Unknown to me I apparently ordered the digital version on Kindle, which I didn’t want. Beware"
The customer has obviously not read the details on screen properly, and mistakenly ordered the Kindle version when he meant to select the paperback format.
I have raised a case with Amazon twice to get the review removed, but they say it’s ‘within guidelines’. I find this very unreasonable.
Any suggestions welcome,
Regards,
Richard

What a clot! I’ve clicked the ‘report abuse’ button so if others follow suit Amazon might remove it. Don’t hold your breath though.

I’ve now reported this too as it’s not a review of the book. If Amazon don’t remove this review it just proves what a farce their review system is. What’s the point in checking the reviews when they don’t actually give an opinion on the product itself?

Omg, this is what I call traffic! New comments popping up every minute!

Thanks a lot for the comments. Hopefully something will be done about it.

Ah good old amazon review system.
On one of our accounts we’ve even had successful products killed by fake negative reviews. Five 1* is enough to kill off most genuine products with 10-30 organic reviews.
I’ve never had a review removed successfully, whether fake, factually incorrect, for the wrong product, about another seller’s service etc… everything is “the buyer’s opinion” or “does not breach guidelines”.
Will be interested to see if this review is killed!!

I jumped on bandwagon and reported too but to be honest you’ve got good reviews anyway and most buyers will look at the comments and just laugh.
