Account access for accountants/bookkeepers - General practices?
Hi All,
I’m curious to know if you guys provide account access for your bookkeepers/accountants?
I was thinking to set up an email address for our accountant but am concerned that if I add them as a “user”, it could trigger an alert, particularly if they start working with other Amazon sellers simultaneously who also provide them with account access and email logins.
Anyone have any experience here or advice?

Once you add any additional account users, Amazon might ask you to submit verification documents for each of them. I had to do it everytime.

Why couldn’t you send the Bookkeeper or accountant a V2 or XML File.

I use A2X linked to Xero, so my figures are downloaded automatically, I’m no expert but it seems to be working so far.

Hi,
I’ve added my accountant and If I remember correctly Amazon just sent them a link to verify the email address.
I could be wrong of course, but didn’t have any problems.
Watch for what access you grant them.

Accountants for Amazon Sellers
Hi Eunoia
This is Joe from Ecommerce Accountants (a UK-based accountancy for online businesses and Amazon Sellers).
Very early on we were aware that this could be a potential problem, so made sure that we had this discussion with Amazon.
Essentially the answer we received is that you can make someone a secondary user and they are allowed to access multiple accounts, so long as they aren’t the owner(s) of those accounts.
We currently work with around 200 Amazon Sellers in this way and have yet to run into a problem.
I hope that helps!
