Account deactivated because of link to another account, but I dont know how to log in to other account.

Hello,

I used to have an account on Amazon that I sold under when I was married to my ex husband. We divorced in 2014. The website we used went defunct, along with the business and everything associated with it. The LLC is dead and I am no longer an agent.

Fast forward to now. I tried to use my personal account to sell, not even thinking about the old unrelated one and I was deactivated. I am getting the same canned response after submitting everything I have showing that the LLC is dead and there is no longer a business.

"Please provide evidence that you once owned the account or had account rights but no longer own it or no longer have account rights by providing supporting documentation. This includes but is not limited to sales deed, purchase agreement, business transfer agreement, or contract termination."

I was able to login under what I thought the old email was but it says there is no seller account associated with it. I have no idea how to find out what that old account is, so that I can address whatever the issue is with that account.

I am at a loss what to do now. That business has been done for 10 years so there's nothing really to access and I only remember the one email address.

Any helpful tips? I just want to be able to sell under my personal email.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I suspect that a statement that the account was part of your marriage, along with certification of divorce, might go a long way. But more might be required.

Perhaps a mod can chime in with more concrete advice. Best of luck!

As you've mentioned this is a concern with our multiple account policy. This would imply that the original account was never closed properly and is in a deactivated state. Typically in this scenario we will require the reactivation of the associated store to ensure compliance with our code of conduct policy.

As noted by @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw, if your business was part of your marriage and apart of the separation, legal documents verifying the separation could proof useful in verifying two separate accounts. Can you confirm who the original account was registered too or who the LLC was registered too?

These situations will require that the original account be reinstated, or supporting evidence validating a separation from the other account would be required. If the original account was register to you, you will likely need to look into the original email address used to register or maintain the older account. This can help identify the email needed to sign into that store. You can also review our seller university video on how to address a multiple account policy violation. Additionally, if you manage to sign into the original account, please review the performance notifications to verify why that account was deactivated. You can post it here so we can offer more guidance on that account and the next steps there.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.

Emet.
