Repeated £2.50 Delivery Label Adjustments on EVRi Shipments Under 1kg — Anyone Else?

Hi all,

I’m hoping someone else has come across this — I’m seeing repeated £2.50 “Carrier Delivery Label Adjustment” charges from Amazon on shipments sent via EVRi using Buy Shipping, where:

The item is under 1kg

I’ve entered valid dimensions and weight

The carrier-audited values match exactly

I’ve already been charged for the label (typically £3.00)

Example:

For one order, I declared the parcel as 45 × 35 × 16 cm, 1000g.

The actual item was much smaller (522g, 14 × 2.6 × 21 cm), but I over-declared to be safe.

Amazon charged £3.00 for the label — then later hit me with a £2.50 surcharge, citing “Carrier delivery label adjustment due to under-charged delivery label.”

This is now happening across dozens of orders, and after reviewing just a week’s data, I’m already seeing £500+ in unexplained extra charges.

It seems to happen specifically when using EVRi through Buy Shipping, and even when all the entered and audited data match.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've raised a case with Amazon, but would love to hear from others before escalating.

Any experiences or advice appreciated.

Thanks,

I have had another update from Evri this morning.

Amazon have apparently communicated to them, that they plan to have it fixed by close of play on Friday 23rd.

I hope it is an error and that you all get it fixed, but anyone who has used Hermes/Evri for a period of time will know they are notorious for falsely claiming underpayments and hitting customers with surcharges. I have had to battle them on two occasions to get significant sums returned. Hope this isn't the same problem rearing its head again and you all get your money back.

Same here. Stopped using them. Royal Mail and Evri both using same tactics now.

I experienced a similar issue last night, where an adjustment charge of £4,590 was applied to my shipment, despite the product value being only £7.99 and the shipping cost £8.44. This charge appears to be entirely unreasonable.

Has anyone been fully refunded for the adjustments yet?

I've only had like 10 out of 200 refunded...

I would suggest using a third party delivery service which can be connected to amazon for your delivery labels as the service will then be held responsible for any outstanding charges by the courier.

Your prices will be given upfront and will not be adjusted later on throughout transit.

Warm Regards :)

I could not get through to anyone for a few days about this on amazon customer service, I am currently talking to them and guess what. " I need to connect you to a specialist." The Specialist: I need to connect you to a specialist. Amazon as it best.

I am just fuming, so they said the only way to get this money refunded if we apply for a refund as follows

Request a refund

To apply for a refund, follow these steps:

In Manage Orders, find the order for which you want to request a refund of Shipping Services fees.

Click the Order ID link in the Order ID/Product Details column.

Click the Refund Shipping button above the product and package details.

Tick the box at the bottom of the page to certify that the shipping services were not used.

Click Refund Shipping.

seems to be they are starting to re-adjusting. They refund some of the money yesterday and more for this morning, so hopefully all will be done soon.

Some, but not all, has been refunded over the last 2 days, however, they have this morning taken more out again !!!

Why they have just refunded partially but not all the overcharges they have taken? Does anyone know when the rest will be credited back to us?
