For over a month now sales have been very very few and between. I know I have become boring on this topic and annoying to some of you, for this I apologise. It would be encouraging to know that you are doing well with book sales, as this will prove that the fault is mine and mine only for having books that no one wants.

How many listings do you have ?
Also, you’re only on the individual plan so will never be eligible for the buy box so any listings where you have competitors, you will have to hope that buyers check out all sellers

You could try using advertising using vouchers or sponsored products ?

I sympathise with you. Here are a few things I would suggest.
1 I wouldnt cull anything unless the storage is causing you a problem. I take the view that most books are sellable ( At least 25% of my sales are books that I would have thought that very few people would want)
2 I would put prices up rather than down. There are many buyers who will take the view that some prices are too good to be true (and judging by the feedback it is often true) . Forget about buyers who simply want the cheapest book - we simply cannot compete with the 1p sellers with this sort of buyer)
3 I would always have my own photo of each book
4 I would always have something in the “condition” notes - never rely on simply “good” “very good” etc
5 I regularly look at feedback for other sellers to see the sort of thing that buyers are unhappy about. Even if it doesn’t help you it will still make you feel better to see that there are sellers of books who simply have no clue)
6 As a general rule non fiction is more likely to sell than fiction

We sell beauty salon products and our sales have dropped off a Cliff. We are 96% on our buy boxes and just about trying everything. It’s scary at the moment

I am a part-time book seller. My current stock is 340 books. I am consistently selling 120 books a month. My average selling price is £16.

It is not worth getting depressed about. If I were you I would dispose of all of those books and forget all about it.

Alternatively, learn how to know how often a book sells, and how much it sells for. There’s a high chance all your books are at the wrong price.

Do you use Keepa ?

Feel free to ask, if you have any more specific questions.
