Request for VAT invoice
'Please could you supply me with a VAT invoice for this purchase?
xxxxxxxxxxxx
The following information must please be included on the VAT invoice in order for it to be compliant:
- Your Business name and address
- DATE OF ORDER
- Your GB Business VAT registration number
- Product Details/Item Title
- The total price including VAT
- The VAT rate applicable to the item
Please note, with your express permission I can submit a “simplified invoice” to my accounts using an Amazon Receipt. To do this I will need you to reply giving permission and confirm your GB VAT number and business address.
I appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from you.

I am registered for automatic VAT invoicing with Amazon so I thought I wouldn’t need to do this?
Can someone enlighten me.
Many Thanks

If you have enrolled onto the Amazon VAT caclulation service, Amazon provide the VAT invoice, the customer sinply log’s onto to their account, select the order then click Invoice.

Best thing to do is set up a standard template reply. Even when enrolled, you’ll probably still receive quite a few requests.
Reply with the template (directing them to their account)… sorted.

Only business customers have access to the vat invoice from Amazon so you will still need to manually create one for non-business customers

That’s from fishpond. Big drop shippers with their own website (google them). They auto send that email when they buy from you for the first couple of times, I told them to download the VAT invoice,…
You ship to them and they forward worldwide at hugely inflated prices, it works for them as they hold no stock.
I haven’t had an email from them for a while now but they buy quite a lot from us FBA and have done for two years.
