Can I add QR Barcode link to a product instructions on youtube?
Hi,
I have customers saying. they don’t know how to use the product?
Can I add QR Barcode link to a youtube instructions video on how to use my product?
Whats Amazon rules on using social media links too.
i.e “Follow us” on instagram and facebook?
Many thanks and kind regards
Charles

Instructions on packaging inserts should be fine and I can’t see any issue putting a link to some Youtube instructions (but don’t quote me on that). However, regarding social media…
"You may not contact buyers in any way for marketing or promotional purposes, via email, physical mail, telephone or otherwise.
If you send a permitted email to a buyer, your email may not include any of the following:
Links to any website, unless necessary to fulfil an order. For example, links to track parcels are allowed.
Links to opt out of unsolicited messages from sellers.
Logos, if they contain or display a link to your website.
Any marketing or promotional messaging.
Any promotion for additional products or referral to third-party products or promotions."

You’re not allowed to put any external links or refences to other webistes on your listings either.

If you include the QR code as part of the packaged instructions then there shouldn’t be a problem with that. We sell consumer electronics and do this with quite a few of our products.
BUT it has to be something packaged properly with the product. If you just put a sticker on the outside of the packaging with a QR code then - if you ship via FBA - they can reject the products as damaged
